We work with vulnerable families in our community to support them, not just with food but with any challenges they are facing. This could mean that you are involved in building trust with families as part of our team in order to help them. For this reason, we ask for references to ensure that we have done some due diligence into your suitability to work with vulnerable people. Please provide some contact information below for two character/professional references who you are happy for us to contact about this volunteering role.
It is important for us that all of our team members carry the same values and culture through the project and present this to those we are supporting. Therefore we have a brief code of conduct which we would like you to read and agree to:
As a volunteer for Celebrate Families CIC, I agree to act, dress and speak respectfully and appropriately to all team members and individuals interacting with the organisation.
I agree to represent the values of the organisation throughout my role, and to work effectively with team members to resolve any challenges or disagreements which may present themselves.
I agree to attend and comply with any relevant training for my role, including safeguarding and food handling training.
I agree to seek support from the team where I feel it is needed, and to provide feedback based on my experience in the role. I agree to raise concerns or issues that I notice to the team so that they can be addressed appropriately and efficiently.
I agree to provide adequate notice if I am unable to attend an agreed volunteering session, so that the team has time to make alternative plans.
